  1. Mr. Tayto invented the first Cheese and Onion flavoured crisp in Moore Street back in 1954.

  2. The name ‘Tayto’ originally came from the word potato.

  3. 35,000 tonnes of Irish potatoes are used in Mr. Taytos factory annually.

  4. Tayto in Chinese means ‘Gentleman of the Potato’ and is pronounced phonetically as ‘Tu-dou’.

  5. Mr. Tayto drives a monster truck and just got a new set of pimped wheels and will drive anywhere for a bit of craic..

  6. Mr. Taytos favourite subject in school was Home Economics. Occasionally he came out with some half-baked ideas, but he’s fairly thick skinned and always had a way of buttering up his teachers!

  7. Mr. Tayto learned how to head the ball and improve his soccer from Giovanni Trapatoni.

  8. Mr. Taytos autobiography The Man Inside The Jacket was number 1 in the charts for 6 weeks, including the Christmas Number 1; thank you guys!
